Defiant Mulled Red Wine


  • 1 can (250ml) of DEFY ORGANIC SPANISH RED WINE
  • 50ml brandy
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • A slice of orange
  • A cinnamon stick
  • A few cloves
  • A star anise
  • A small slice of ginger
  • Optional: a sprinkle of nutmeg


  1. Warm the wine: In a pot, gently heat the wine. Keep it low – you're warming it, not boiling it.

  2. Sweeten: Stir in the honey until it dissolves.

  3. Add the spices: Add the orange slice, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, and ginger.

  4. Add some brandy: Add the brandy for that extra kick.

  5. Simmer: Let the mixture simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Give it time to infuse.

  6. Optional Twist: For those looking to push the envelope, sprinkle a bit of nutmeg into the mix.

  7. Serve: Pour the mulled wine into mugs, making sure each one gets a bit of the spices and orange.
